  • HOW TO MAKE A LIGHT BOX

Hi, To all my fellow card makers, crafters, customers, demonstrators, and total beginners welcome to my blog. I hope you are all well and keeping safe.

I am reposting this blog post due to a request from my social media groups.
Are you tired of taking pictures of your beautifully made cards or crafting projects, with all that chaos in the background and terrible lighting? I believe I have a solution! A lightbox or light tent! No more bad lighting, no more clutter in the background or trying to reorganise the craft room. Making your own lightbox is simple and easy.

    You will need
1 box( big enough for crafting projects)
3 sheets of Vellum(tracing paper, baking sheets)
    Tom bow glue
    Ruler
    Craft knife
    Thick marker pen
2x sheets of A3 white card (A1 card or thick white sheet of paper)
    Cutting Mat
    Wide tape

Take a box big enough for your crating projects. I used vellum as a template for the top of the box to draw around the box’s top. Do same for 2 sides of the box. Dia 1

Cut out the top, sides and the flaps leaving the back and bottom including the box’s flap attached. Dia 2

Replace the 2 sides and the top of the box with the vellum. (The vellum should be cut to least approx 1/2inch bigger all the way round to fit the holes created ) using glue or tape adhere the vellum into place.
    Dia 3

To make what they call the runaway, you tape together 2 x A3 white card which I cut down to fit the box. You can use A1 card or thick white sheet paper. Dia 4

This lightbox is ready to be placed near a light source, such as a window, outside, daylight lamp or flashlight.

    Perfect for your crafting projects.

    #OnStage@Home 2020 Stampin’ Up!® Virtual Conference

This month I attended Stampin’ Up!® virtual conference OnStage@Home. I must say I had an exciting and fantastic time to be part of this great event, it’s just like Christmas.

Last year was my first time, taking part in such an event which took place in Germany. I met so many amazing Demonstrators from around the world. But, due to covid19 and all the different restrictions and social distancing, the virtual was the way forward, in fact, more people ( 10,000 plus) attend the virtual conference than any of event held by Stampin’ Up that’s a lot of stampers!

To get the party started and to be the party of the excitement.

The “Swag Box” I received this before the event and was very excited to see what goodies were inside.

These are the wonderful goodies I received in my “Swag Box” from Stampin’ Up!® this was optional of course. I have to have everything. Actually, this was a birthday gift I got for myself, and that’s my excuse.

Dandy Garden Sneek Peak (shown below)
I need this Dandy Garden suite to take part in the “Make Take” session I was able to create some wonderful cards with this suite, I could have used any suite with the same amount of elements. Which is optional by the way for this Onstage Event. I am so glad I did I just love a punch and #simple stamping.

I can’t wait to share some ideas using this suite.

If you would love what you have seen so far and love to create, why not join my team! Click Here and be part of the Stampin’ Up!® World! And enjoy the 20% discounts on Stampin’ Up! products and be part of this event like this! Here is my latest project. My upline set up this challenge.
The brief was to use my favourite current Stampin up stamp set and supplies to make a card using a sketch which she provided. If you would like the drawing, just write a comment below or sign up for my newsletter.

This easy slimline card was put together using a sketch. This my interruption of the slimline card using an embossing folder to give the card texture, layering I used dimensionals on the middle circle to provide the card with a 3D look.

Loved this using this Designer Series paper for the simple reason that you can use the ‘Coming Home’ dies to cut out the houses.
Did I say how much I just love simply Stamping—this card so easy to make even if your just a beginner.

Click on any of the images, and it takes you straight to my Store. Happy shopping.
